The basic question "Where does this intelligence come from?" to enable us humans to fulfil these visions of the future is sadly ignored? I think John Cowie's book Silbury Dawning: The Alien Visitor Gene Theory provides the answers. The book suggests that this has already happened before! Around 13,000 years ago a highly intelligent extra-terrestrial life-form arrived and bred with, or somehow implanted its genetic material and educated our Homo-ancestors, thus speeding up their development. The offspring of the Alien Visitor/Homo sapiens continued to evolve rapidly because of the Alien Visitor gene which gave the new species many advantages not enjoyed by other animals. Consequently the Homo sapiens, which did not gain this Alien Visitor gene struggled to compete against their counterparts and eventually became extinct. Those that survived became US!

Up until now our evolution and our lives have been constrained/curtailed by nature/nurture, but as the TV programme spectacularly shows it is becoming eminently clear that in the next 20 to 30 years we will have the god-like power to engineer a new species of human that transcends our current evolutionary boundaries. Cowie suggests this immense knowledge which we are slowly recovering from one generation to the next via a trans-generational memory gene is further proof of an extraterrestrial intervention. Our development is potentially unstoppable as it is also part of our ongoing recovery process to take us to the level of intelligence which we inherited when this extraterrestrial arrived and thrived on Earth and will enable us to explore space in search of our extraterrestrial ancestors.

I am very grateful for your kind comments.

I have also been following the “Visions of the Future” TV programme with great interest and enjoyed the three episodes.

I believe these futuristic ideas provide furture proof of an extraterrestrial intervention on our amazing evolution.

If we can image ourselves today marooned on a remote island, where although we are familiar with the computer, the world wide web and the human genome, it would be impossible with the island’s resources to rebuilt this technology in our lifetime. In fact it would take thousands of years to re-discover and introduce the technology into our new world. Nevertheless, we would be able to use some of our practical knowledge to build something which would look totally out of place on the island when centuries later the island was discovered.

I believe this scenario has already occurred with the arrival of an extraterrestrial or extraterrestrials who were marooned on Earth some 13,000 years ago. We have inherited its immense knowledge via a trans-generational memory gene and we are slowly uncovering our extraterrestrial ancestor’s knowledge. It would seem that although its time on Earth was relatively short, they were able to use a fraction of their practical knowledge to build primitive devices to help them adapt and survive in this new environment.

Are there any strange objects that look out-of-place on our landscape? Can our discoveries and futuristic predictions shed some light on the purpose of these mysterious constructions? Silbury Hill perhaps?

Around Silbury Hill, the use of materials such as sarsen stone and water combined with ley lines seems to indicate knowledge of magnetism. Were our alien ancestors able to produce powerful magnetic fields that could combat the force of gravity? This could explain the mythical tales of levitation and the ability of these ancients to construct Stonehenge and the Great Pyramid? And the ability to see the landscape from above – to fly!

Or have we yet to uncover the knowledge to understand the true purpose of these ancient primitive creations?

Today the cross pollination of the computer, biotech and quantum revolutions has released a tidal wave of discovery which has accelerated into the twenty first century. Our progress has accelerated more in the past 50 years than in all of human history!

Futurists are already proclaiming areas which were quite recently seen as science fiction will become science fact in this century. Examples include ‘supercomputers’ that will enable us to reveal the secrets of everything; ‘nuclear fusion’ to preserve our fossil fuels and give us the ability to control global warming; ‘space elevators’ that will allow us to leapfrog the gravity barrier and allow us to explore space more cheaply; ‘carbon nano tubes’ even at the thickness of a human hair is one of the strongest materials known to man, ‘nano bods’ watchdogs that patrol our bodies looking for any signs of disease or decay; ‘personal fabricators’ that will give us the ability to create something out of nothing using nano technology; ‘invisibility’ (as per Harry Potter and previously from mythological tales via Plato) initially for military stealth purposes; ‘teleportation’ (from Star Trek’s ‘beam me up Scotty’) has already been demonstrated at the photon level; ‘artificial intelligence’ that exceeds the bumbling human kind; 'intelligent robots' that will take us to Mars and beyond - to name but a few!

As I suggested in one of my lectures on “Mysteries of the World” in 2001, are we slowly recovering this alien knowledge which has began to accelerate over the past 50 years. So, the question is – “When will we reach the level of knowledge which was on our planet some 13,000 years ago?”
